What if the DPF is damaged?
If our inspection finds physical damage to the unit, we won’t go ahead with the clean and you only pay the delivery costs. We’ll offer you a replacement unit at normal cost instead. Please note we don’t remove or refit DPFs or CATs ourselves.

Off-car or on-car?

When off-car DPF cleaning is the right choice

If the vehicle still runs, our mobile on-car clean is usually quicker – we come to you. Off-car cleaning is the answer when the vehicle can’t be driven, the DPF is badly blocked or oil-contaminated, or it has already been removed.

A blocked DPF often has an underlying cause, such as EGR, SCR, glow plug, injector, turbo or AdBlue problems. Get that checked and fixed when the unit is refitted, so the problem doesn’t come straight back.

What is off-car DPF cleaning?

The DPF (or catalytic converter) is removed from the vehicle and sent to us for a factory clean. We inspect it, test the airflow and back-pressure, clean it with our advanced off-vehicle process and test it again, then send it back ready to refit. It’s the best option when a vehicle won’t start, or when the DPF is too heavily blocked or contaminated for an on-car clean.

How long does it take?

We clean your DPF within 24 hours of receiving it and return it by overnight delivery, ready to go straight back on the vehicle.

Are collection and delivery included?

Yes. Courier collection and delivery are included in the price. Just remove the unit, box it up securely and we’ll book the collection.

How much does off-car DPF cleaning cost?

Off-car DPF cleaning prices start from £250 (exc VAT), including courier collection and return, and before-and-after testing. Trade Account prices are available for garages and workshops.

Do you remove and refit the DPF?

No. Removal and refitting should be done by the garage or workshop of your choice. If the vehicle still runs, our mobile on-car cleaning service needs no removal at all – our engineer comes to you.

What if my DPF is damaged?

If our initial inspection finds physical damage to the unit, we won’t go ahead with the clean and you only pay the delivery costs. We’ll offer you a new replacement unit at normal cost instead.

Can you clean catalytic converters too?

Yes. We clean catalytic converters (CATs) as well as DPFs, for cars, LCVs and HGVs.

Is cleaning better than buying a new DPF?

Where a DPF is suitable for cleaning, a professional clean restores flow at a fraction of the cost of a new unit. Where it’s damaged or beyond cleaning, replacement is the right answer, and we’ll tell you. Either way, check for the underlying cause – such as EGR, injector, turbo or AdBlue faults – so the new or cleaned DPF doesn’t block again.

Keep it clean:
To avoid future warning lights, we recommend a preventative DPF clean every 20,000 miles or 24 months – sooner for vehicles doing lots of short urban trips. When the DPF is refitted, have the underlying cause checked too – such as sensors, EGR or injector faults.
